Gregoire seems to have it all; a wealthy background, good looks, charm, a beautiful wife, three delightful children, two lovely houses and a company busily producing films. However all is not as it seems, the pressure of running a creative business has got to him, he has big financial problems and he's too proud to ask his family for the massive bail-out that he requires. Enough said on the narrative... this is a fine film about a family in crisis, deft of touch and never melodramatic. Loosely based round the real life fall of French producer Humbert Balsan in 2005, 'Le Pere Des Mes Enfants' won the Jury Special Prize at the Un Certain Regard section of the 2009 Cannes Film Festival.
