Plot

2017 and humans have become so fearful that they've replaced themselves in the 'interactive world' with better looking robots so as they needn't leave the supposed safety of their own homes ever again. But when federal agent Greer is assigned to an unusual murder case, whereby the assassination of a surrogate simultaneously resulted in the operator's death, he uncovers an organised conspiracy that is alarmingly and ultimately endangering to humans. A nifty and entertaining piece of sci-fi hokum with the intriguing surrogates stealing the show from a rather plodding plot.
