Plot

Rookie cop, Denny Colt, is murdered while in the line of duty, but, reluctant to stay dead, Denny returns from the grave as The Spirit; a masked vigilante determined to clean up the streets of his beloved city and rid the metropolis of the meglamaniac Octopuss. Adapted from the graphic novel of the same name and directed by the man responsible for ‘Sin City' this is a much lighter affair; entertaining action-adventure that frequently borders on knowing farce.
