Plot

Ryan, Wade and Emmit attend their first day at high school and they're pumped, until they meet up with Filkins, a ruthless school bully who's about twice their size. Before they become completely engulfed in Filkins'a reign of terror, the lads seek out some protection by placing an ad in the Soldier of Fortune magazine. Their best response - and the cheapest - comes from Drillbit Taylor, a charming but self-serving vagrant. Can Taylor actually help the boys or will he just aggravate the situation? Mmmmm. An enjoyable teen comedy/buddy movie that doesn't depend on Owen Wilson, but is better for his presence.
