Davis Rice has a gift, he can instantaneously transport himself to and from any point in the world. Unfortunately David is not alone and those who don't want to harness his powers want to destroy him as an abomination in the eyes of God (it's that old omnipresent issue). There's a lot of accomplished ‘now he's here, now he's not' CGI jiggery pokery in "Jumper", but in its transfer from graphic novel to movie the darkness and coherence of the story has done some disappearing of its own. Enjoy as an undemanding action thriller but don't go rummaging around for a depth that's no longer there.
