Andrew Wyke is a very wealthy man of advancing years, unfortunately his latest acquisition, a beautiful wife, has strayed and when the new object of her affections, Milo Tindle, turns up at Andrew's fortress of a house to thrash out an understanding, what begins as a malicious game of wits gradually escalates into a duel to the death. A remake of the early 70s movie of the same name, which starred Caine in Law's role with Olivier as the cuckolded husband, this is a curiously pointless remake. Not without some ghoulish fun, but only if the first film has passed you by.
