Constance and Nina are both at the bedside of their ill mother as she journeys to and thro between now and then, a summer in the 50s when, at the wedding of a high society friend and in an afternoon of introductions, admissions and possible life choices, she fell for a man called Harris and, overwhelmed by her emotions, embarked on a course of action that would change her life forever. "Evening" is an impassioned and heartfelt human story.
