Homer finally manages to alienate the entire population of Springfield in one beautifully judged act of thoughtless stupidity. Glass domes, Alaskan wilderness, world pollution and bug-eyed, fanged, mutant squirrels are just a few of the delights on offer, and, while the laughs may not come as thick and fast as they do in a 25 minute TV episode, this is still considerably slyer and more endearing than many of its live action comedy cousins.
