Plot
Fassbinders darkly comic satire of middleclass conformity and alienation sees Kurt Raab playing Herr R, a technical draftsman who gets on well with his job, his colleagues, his neighbours, his wife and his son yet finds his life a monotonous void filled with repetitive daily routines and meaningless small talk till one shocking evening he finds he can't take anymore.
