The financially stricken Solomon family retreat from the hectic life of Chicago to a small abandoned farm in North Dakota. Here teenage daughter Jess and mute toddler Ben become aware of threatening paranormal effects that adults are closed to. A genuinely creepy ghost/haunted house story, visually fluid, neatly scripted, if with uninteresting characters and a slightly hackneyed plot line.
