Pete Garrison is a highly respected veteran secret service agent, unfortunately he's schtuping the President's wife and, as a result, is ripe for a set up by extremist right wingers who want to assassinate El Presidente. That's already too much of this confused and reactionary plot with its villainous non-Americans; East Europeans, Cockneys, South Americans and Canadian peaceniks. 'The Sentinel' is a pacey, ridiculous and dangerously small-minded action thriller, though not without a certain guilty pleasure. 24 it's not.
