As ever their deepest, darkest thoughts and feelings are revealed as they try in vain to find their place in the modern world and to find love and fulfilment. After two years of fumbling and disaster Mark finally gets together with his beloved Sophie, but is distraught when she's relocated to Bristol. He tries everything to maintain their relationship, from mild stalking to a horrendously botched attempt at phone sex.
