THE BREAK-UP (2006)

Plot
Brooke has had it up to here with Gary's layabout, lazy ways. So she ends it. And here is where our so-called unconventional romantic comedy begins. They have to split their stuff and their friends... and most notably their apartment. This a relatively unremarkable film which doesn't really go anywhere and is filled with unsympathetic characters, laying waste to the plethora of talent they employed. The best thing in the film is Chris Guest's cohort John Michael Higgins as Brooke's acappella-singing brother - it might be worth a rent just to see his scene at the dinner table. Class.
