Plot

Ethan Hunt, aka Mr Impossible' has retired from the game, now Ethan just trains agents and has a blissful domestic life that he returns home to every evening. Such happiness, inevitably, is short lived when a ruthless dealer in mass destruction invades our hero's world. Mission Impossible 3 is still a fabulously ridiculous action thriller and it certainly doesn't stint on the pyrotechnics, but director Abrams (Lost') incorporation of the stilted and unconvincing drama to flesh out Mr Hawk's personal life is rather less welcome. Great fun, but I could have done without the clunky attempts at characterisation'.
