Einar lives a reclusive existence on his ranch, but his tranquil if embittered world is rudely interrupted when his daughter-in-law, and the woman he blames for his son's death, turns up on his stoop, broke and desperate with a daughter in tow that Einar was never aware she had. As the recriminations and concealed anger bubble up so to does an opportunity for Einar to finally breakaway from the pain he has been carrying for so long. Directed by Lasse Hallstrom, ‘An Unfinished Life' is a visually arresting and thoughtful tale about redemption and hope.
