Plot
On the remote Atlantic island of St Helena Napoleon Bonaparte's exile is about to end. A secret network of loyal supporters are poised to return him to power, but once Napoleon escapes his prison the careful plan begins to go awry, leaving the emperor lost and alone in Paris. It is here that Napoleon meets a humble widowed melon seller and with her patient guidance the man who might have ruled Europe learns how to live without glory. The Emperors New Clothes is a delightful, irreverent re-imagining of history.
