Aeon is a super cool, super lethal assassin plying her much-in-demand trade in a post apocalyptic future. But when she's hired to off an (apparently) totalitarian leader, for the first time in her rigidly controlled existence, she has doubts. Taken from MTV's hugely popular animated series, this big budget movie is perhaps unsurprisingly a soulless affair and, while shortness on plot and script should not necessarily dissuade you from what is basically an action flick, the visuals themselves are distinctly lacking in spectacle as well. Even Theron, clad head to toe in leather bondage gear, fails to get the pulse racing….or maybe I'm just dead.
