Plot

After a long career as a stock car, loveable bug Herbie has been retired to the junk yard. But when Maggie Peyton, a member of the Peyton race car driver dynasty, stumbles upon him both of their lucks change. Banned from driving by her dad, Maggie secretly races Herbie against the best, winning and humiliating the macho men of the NASCAR scene. When the Peyton Team's driver gets injured it's Maggie's turn to take the wheel, and take it she does. This movie is a lot of fun lead by Lindsay Lohan, who's headed into the stratosphere. Demolition derbys, stunt driving and the very sweet bashful Herbie make this film great family fare.
