From the director of ‘Swimming Pool' and ‘8 Women' this tale follows the disintegration of a thoroughly modern couple's marriage..but in reverse, beginning with the divorce and ending with their first meeting. A cleverly executed and intriguing premise, 5 Times 2, despite its generous critical acclaim, left me cold, perhaps a homage to French new wave cinema that my simple mind has always failed to fully grasp.
