Plot

This beautifully animated film shrieks quality, it's the story of three lads who volunteer for queen and country in WW1 but soon find themselves mired in the horrors of trench warfare. It's also the story of that famous Xmas Day 1914, when the squaddies of both sides walked out to play football with each other, but ends with the boys going over the top to an almost certain death. The extras include interviews and a look at animation techniques.
