Darius Stone is the new xxx agent, according to his boss he's more ‘dangerous' than his predecessor, which is good because he's considerably less lean and looks about as mean as a hampster attempting the De Niro "you lookin' at me?!" scene in ‘Taxi Driver'. The agency's mission this time is to save America from a military coup by a power hungry general, a proposition that many liberal-minded Americans might well embrace at this particular juncture in their beleaguered ‘democracy'. The special effects are BIG, the stunts spectacular and it's only about 90 minutes long, but the director must have taken a holiday just before shooting began and the actors were asked to improvise a script under the illusion this was a comedy.
