Dirk Pitt is one hell of a guy, his bestest (only?) buddy and fellow adventurer is testament to that. While underwater treasure hunting is normally his bag, on this occasion Dirk finds himself in the middle of the North African desert helping a humanitarian doctor find the source of a man made leak that is poisoning the desperately needed water supplies. Anyway enough about that, more to the point this is an enjoyable guns blazing tongue in cheek slice of action packed nonsense taken from Clive Cussler's endless novels, not great, not clever but better than many.
