DE-LOVELY (2004)
IRWIN WINKLER
Plot
Kline and Judd combine well in this delightful homage to the life and times of Cole and Linda Porter, man and wife, composer and muse, a couple who led a life of glamour and indulged eccentricity. There's no shortage of the man's music, which is unfortunately sometimes murdered by using a series of unsuitable singers; "It's De-Lovely" by Robbie Williams, "Let's Do It (Let's Fall In Love)" by Alanis Morissette, "Begin The Beguine" by Sheryl Crow, "Let's Misbehave" by Elvis Costello, "Be a Clown" by Kevin Kline, Peter Polycarpou and Chorus, "Night and Day" by John Barrowman and Kevin Kline, "True Love" by Ashley Judd and Tayler Hamilton, "What Is This Thing Called Love?" by Lemar, "I Love You" by Mick Hucknall, "Just One Of Those Things" by Diana Krall, "Anything Goes" by Caroline O'Connor, "Experiment" by Kevin Kline, "Love For Sale" by Vivian Green, "So In Love" by Lara Fabian and Mario Frangoulis, "Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye" by Natalie Cole, "Blow, Gabriel, Blow" by Jonathan Pryce, Kevin Kline, Cast and Chorus, "In the Still Of The Night" by Kevin Kline and Ashley Judd, "You're The Top" by Cole Porter and "Easy to Love" by Kevin Kline.
