Part of a series of suitably lush, impeccably cast, dramatisations of Agatha Christie's ever so unassuming Miss Marple, a razor sharp, and eagle-eyed amateur detective extraordinaire. The deeply un-likable retired colonel in Miss Marple's village is done away with, unfortunately this is very soon after the local vicar has jokingly commented that anyone who speeds up the old goat's journey to the pearly gates would be doing the world a favour…blast! From several potential murderers the venerable detective must find the real killer.
