This two-part special fulfils everything you might have wanted from a return visit to Wernham Hogg. Since Series Two came to a teary close, David Brent has blown his redundancy money on making a cutting edge music video, attempting to release his cover of the Simply Red classic 'If You Don't Know Me Now'. Gareth has been promoted to Brent's old position and is enjoying the potential for abusing his power. The tragic figure of Tim is still treading water as a big fish in a little pond. All the characters suppressed issues are brought to boiling point at the office Christmas party, further enflamed by the reappearance of the lovely Dawn and her despicable fiance, Lee. Beautifully realised tragic comedy.
