Betwixt Taxi Driver and Bugsy Malone Jodie Foster found her way onto this lighthearted Disney comedy vehicle. The story is familiar; a young girl and her mother inexplicably find themselves swapping bodies and struggle to come to terms with the life the other one leads, the daughter battling with the problems of running a household and the mother finding herself in the nightmarish world of teenage school life. It's an appealing premise, hence it's popularity through the ages (similar films include Vice Versa and Big), where filmmakers explore the issue of what being an adult entails, even if you are still stuck with a mentality largely undeveloped since adolescence! The waterskiing set piece is exciting too...
