Plot

Based on the book by Andre Dubus, House Of Sand And Fog is a haunting and powerful meditation on how the dreams of one individual can unknowingly signal the end of hope for another. When an Iranian immigrant takes possession of a house, bought cheaply at an auction, for himself and his family he is unaware that the previous owner was forced out of her home and is now close to destitution. Desperate to fulfil or rekindle their dream neither are capable of seeing the others position, an inability that locks the two into an increasingly vicious and unwinnable battle.
