Alex owes money to some unforgiving men and the only way out of his potentially painful predicament is to get his romantic novel published and paid for by the end of the month. Enter Emma, the girl Alex employs to turn his scribblings into a finished work. Set in the present day and the 1920s setting of the book, Alex and Emma is a sweet natured and likeable unlikely romantic comedy from the director of ‘When Harry Met Sally'.
