Harry is a man whose been tenaciously hanging onto the tag ‘young at heart' for longer than is decent, he still lives the bachelor life and is appalled at the idea of dating anyone over half his age. While weekending away with his latest love Harry meets the girl's mother, Erica, a successful playwright and slightly anal divorcee. What begins as a relationship based on mutual antipathy gradually develops into one of mutual appreciation, but is Harry capable of breaking the habits of a life time and committing to anything other than himself? Something's Gotta Give is a classy romantic comedy with a superb cast, and though there's nothing new to the story itself, the sparky script and performances make for a highly enjoyable slice of feel good escapism.
