Plot

Darren Hill is a less than successful New York ad exec, so when he learns that his aunt has left him an inheritance he wastes no time in jacking in his job and high tailing it back home to Georgia. Unfortunately for Darren there is a catch to his aunt's will, he must put together a local choir and win the Gospel Explosion competition, easier said than done considering the paucity of musical talent available to him. Lilly is the only one who provides Darren with any hope, she sings like an angel and looks like Venus, but she's understandably sceptical of his motives. The Fighting Temptations is an implausible, cliché rich, perky, feel-good comedy.
