Two guys, best mates, both called Gerry and inadvertently on the journey of a life time. Lost in the desert and with nothing but each other the two men soon begin to reach the limits of their endurance, both physically and emotionally, an ill-advised jaunt that has become a matter of simple survival. Gerry is a return to art house roots for director Gus Van Sant and its an intriguing, often absorbing tale, though be warned, pacey it ain't.
