Anthony O'Malley is a struggling luvie who, along with fellow thesp Tom, decides to relieve a local criminal of monies owed. All goes smoothly until it becomes clear said criminal is rather likeable and desperately trying to go straight, while the real owners of the money are serious hard core gangsters and well out of sorts that someone has legged it with their dosh. The Actors is classic British farce, camp, cheesy and hackneyed; easy watching but no revelation.
