Dave is a pretty unassuming guy, in fact 'wallflower' could be his mantra, but after a wee misunderstanding escalates out of all proportion Dave finds himself ordered by the courts to get anger management therapy. Dr Buddy Rydell is the man Dave has the misfortune to be treated by and Buddy's unorthodox methods enable the hapless Dave to find a level of fury he never thought possible. Anger management is classic Adam Sandler territory, but thanks to Nicholson and an intelligently farcical script it rises well above lowest common denominator humour and schmaltz. Good, if predictable, fun.
