SIMONE (2002)

Cast
Plot
Filmmaker Viktor Taransky is close to the end of his tether, he's tired of the media obsessed world he inhabits and when the star of his latest film walks off in a huff he resorts to an act of desperation and digitally creates a new leading actress. Taransky's creation creates a media frenzy and the man soon finds himself at the mercy of his own deception. Simone is written by Andrew Niccol who was responsible for the Truman Show' and though they both satirise a similar topic Simone plays less on the pathos and more on the straight comedy. Good slick fun.
