Longfellow Deeds is a small town guy, not the smartest apple in the barrel but well loved by the local folk. When Deeds inherits 40 billion dollars from a long forgotten uncle the lad duely sets off for the big smoke to claim what is now his, but it's not long before our amiable hero finds himself up against some amoral sharks and only Longfellow's no-nonsense approach to life can save the day of all involved. You know when people talk about pointless remakes?....think of this as a 93 minute advert for that concept, and get out the original Mr. Deeds Goes To Town instead. Other than that it's an Adam Sandler movie.
