The tag is "Are we sleep-walking through our waking state or wake-walking through our dreams?". Now some of you non-believers out there might perceive this statement as pseudo-intellectual philosophising bollocks...but hang on a minute, oh no F*!$K it, you're probably right. Waking Life is in fairness an intriguing drama and the animated overlay is an entertaining concept.
