A beautiful wife has an 'idyllic' life, a handsome caring husband who brings home the cash by the lorry load, a sweet loving child and a house the size of a postcode; but she has just had a visit from 'Passion' and before she knows what she's doing every spare moment is being spent in the arms of a handsome young stranger...it's bound to end in tears. Unfaithful is two films; a stylish tale of lust and sex followed by a thriller/drama denoument. Diane Ladd does the sex/lust thing brilliantly but Gere, and a weak script, let down the last half hour.
