THE CLOSET (2001)
FRANCIS VEBER
Plot
Francois Pignon is in danger of losing his job and in a desperate attempt to remain employed he announces that he's gay - even though he's not. Hoping the company will fear being considered discriminating, it's a wise decision in the short term but he has failed to fully grasp the ramifications. The Closet is a delightfully sharp satirical comedy from the same director as "Le Diner De Cons" which avoids many of the comic pitfalls such a subject often relies upon in film, through simple wit, charm and intelligence.
