Plot
Matt is a local doctor practicing medicine on the coast of Maine; Ruth his wife is a music teacher and Frank their son has just arrived home from college for the summer. Into this happy family comes a young single mother with whom Frank begins a love affair. In The Bedroom begins as an absorbing but unremarkable drama of normality but as events unfold and tragedy strikes the film escalates into an intense and utterly compelling tale. Highly recommended
