LAST ORDERS (2001)
FRED SCHEPISI
Plot
Jack Dodds last request was to have his ashes hurled off the pier at Margate, a desire that his wife stoutly refuses, which leaves only his friends to carry out the task. As Jack's mates set out on the journey the day becomes an alcohol fuelled blur of emotions and reminiscence, with the dawning realisation of what friendship truly represents for the men. 'Last Orders' is a touching, poignant, affirming and often witty drama adapted from Graham Swift's Booker prize winning novel.
