Jane Fonda and Michael Sarrazin give stunning performances in this classic film based on Horace McCoy's novel about a Depression era dance marathon. The blood, sweat and tears the participants go through makes for uncomfortable watching and the compere maintains his enthusiastic banter as the contestants drop like flies.
