Three men, two American and one German, lead us through the closing stages of WWII. Each has their own perspective on events and each their own very different ideology. The Young Lions is based on Irwin Shaw's novel and is an epic drama held together by a couple of towering performances from Clift and Brando. Dean Martin claimed he just played himself - a likeable coward!
