Taken from Nick Hornby's book of the same name, the story revolves around Rob, the owner of a small indie record shop, who is obsessed by music and has successfully used it to dodge growing up and to side step any tricky emotional or relationship-based issues....unsurprisingly his long suffering girlfriend leaves him. This is a great adaption, funny, perceptive and painfully familiar, the minor characters are pin sharp, and Rob's two work colleagues are frequently in danger of stealing the film. High Fidelity is a top notch romantic comedy, almost completely devoid of romance......praise the lord.
