Jimmy "The Tulip" is a hit man with a price on his head, keeping a low profile he moves into a Montreal suburb but is recognised by his hen pecked and miserable next door neighbour Nicholas, a dentist. So follows a series of events which sees just about everyone attempting to bump off someone, wives, husbands, mobsters, dental assistants nobody is safe and nobody is without an alteria motive, except perhaps the hapless Nicholas. A black comedy that plays more like a farce, The Whole Nine Yards is enjoyable, but it begs to be so much darker, check out Grosse Point Blank or Man Bites Dog as examples.
