In "Gravity", Tom Paris and Tuvok are trapped on a deserted planet by the gravity and time-stretching properties of a sinkhole in space, spending months fending off attacks by nomadic bandits, and relying on giant spiders for food. When a stranded female alien falls in love with Tuvok, the officer's Vulcan principles are tested to the limit. In " Bliss", the crew of Voyager is exhilarated to find a wormhole that will bring them home. While the crew excitedly prepare to return to Earth, Seven of Nine remains sceptical and violates the captain's orders by enlisting the Doctor, little Naomi Wildman and an alien pilot to help her stop Voyager from entering the wormhole.
