Shamefully shabby attempt to immortalise the brilliant British 60's TV series, spectacularly failing to recapture even one iota of the original's style, character-chemistry, charm and sly humour. The plot is as inconsequential as it always was - a villain plans to use England's notoriously unreliable weather to achieve world domination - but that's no excuse for it to make absolutely no sense whatsoever. Sean Connery puts in an erratic performance as mad scientist Sir August De Wynter, while the undoubtedly talented Fiennes and Thurman are hopelessly miscast as John Steed and Emma Peel, with none of the sexual tension their predecessors thrived on. And the jokes aren't funny either. All in all, a pile of pants. Congratulations: Your vote has been cast
