Boyz 'n the Hood director Singleton weaves a tale of teen angst and racial intolerance in this hard-hitting college drama. Larry Fishburne stars as the guy struggling to keep 18,000 students under control AND give them a decent education. Necessarily violent in places, but never gratuitous.
