Acclaimed animator Borowczyk shows he's just as accomplished at live action with this darkly atmospheric drama. In a remote French castle a swelling of over-sexed men vie for the attentions of Blanche, the innocent young wife of the Baron. A tense, surreal film with a wonderful claustrophobic feel.
