Superbly directed tale of a few soldiers who participated in the horribly bloody and protracted German defeat at Stalingrad. Lavish, authentic, and very well put together, it sometimes lacks the depth you might expect. Also, the decision to only release dubbed was a ludicrous one. Powerful.
