An excellent example of Tavernier's introverted and thoughtful film-making style. Bogarde is a typical ex-pat, whose life changes when he becomes ill. His estranged daughter returns to make peace, and some of his past is uncovered.,A very touching and superbly acted film. Gently absorbing.
